A little bit about me...
My name is Cheryl Irick and I teach kindergarten in a small district in Southern California. We have one Early Learning Center (preschool through Kindergarten), three elementary schools (1st-5th grades) and one middle school (6th-8th grades). I started my teaching career in 4th grade and really liked it, but then the opportunity came to move to 2nd and then kindergarten where I found my passion and never looked back. I love teaching the younger kids! Every day they will say or do something to put a smile on my face and make me laugh. I love being their first introduction to school and I know how important that is. My goal is to have them love learning and to want to come to school every day. There is a lot of laughter and noise in my classroom because young children need hands-on learning opportunities and lots of time to talk and interact with each other.
I have a wonderful husband and two gorgeous daughters. Both play lacrosse so you can always find us on the sidelines cheering on their teams.
At home we have two corgis that keep us busy.
